Manchester United have been alerted to Danny Rose’s situation, with a report claiming that he is interested in leaving Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham’s Danny Rose is reportedly interested in moving back up north
A report in the Daily Mirror has suggested that Manchester United are ready to target Tottenham defender Danny Rose with the full-back reportedly interested in leaving Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
The Mirror suggests that the 26-year-old is interested in moving back up north a decade after leaving Leeds for White Hart Lane, and that news appears to have alerted United.
Manchester United are keen on Danny Rose
If Rose’s reported desire to move north actually leads to the England international telling the Spurs hierarchy that he wants to quit this summer, it would be arguably be a major blow for Pochettino’s men with fellow full-back Kyle Walker also being linked with a move to Manchester, with City keen to bring him to the Etihad (via Mirror).
However, it would surely be something of a surprise if Rose decided that he wanted to leave Tottenham this summer, even if his teammate heads elsewhere.
It would be something of a surprise if Rose was keen on leaving Spurs
Pochettino’s men are continuing to make great progress, having challenged for the Premier League title in the last two seasons.
And while the pressure is starting to be applied from some regarding the need to win trophies if they want to be considered a great team, they appear to be on the cusp of securing silverware so staying at Spurs surely seems as attractive a decision as a move to any of their Premier League rivals.
But if Rose truly has his heart set on moving back closer to where he was brought up, then Pochettino may face a much tougher task trying to convince him to stay.
