According to the Chronicle, Newcastle United have been offered the chance to sign Daniel Sturridge, as well as Andy Carroll and Danny Welbeck.

Newcastle are on the hunt for another striker, even after signing Joelinton.

Steve Bruce is now assessing his options, and it seems that they have plenty of strikers available to them.

Sturridge is the latest player who has reportedly been offered to Newcastle, although the Chronicle suggest his that the signing is unlikely at the moment.

Newcastle may even wait until the transfer window is closed before deciding whether to push on and sign a free agent striker.

It seems like Carroll is the leading option for Newcastle currently, as Bruce is known to be a fan.

However, Sturridge being offered does add some intrigue, as there could be some value in taking him.

Although Sturridge has a sketchy injury record, if Bruce could get him back to his best, he would be a major asset to Newcastle.

And on a free transfer, he could yet be a decent option for the Magpies.
