Arsenal talent Daniel Oyegoke is set to sign for Brentford after rejecting a new contract, according to West London Sport.

The Bees are looking to recruit for their first season in the Premier League, but that won’t sway them away from their vision to build their B team too.

Oyegoke is their next target, and a deal is thought to be close for the teenager to swap North London for West London.

Oyegoke’s ‘surprise’ Arsenal snub

It’s stated that the 18-year-old has rejected a new professional contract to stay Arsenal, with his current deal sex to end in a matter of days.

Goal’s Arsenal correspondent Charles Watts has admitted that the decision is a ‘surprise’, as there was seemingly a belief that he would stay put.

Instead, Oyegoke has deciding he wants to leave, and Brentford are wasting no time in an attempt to get him signed up.

Who else has joined Brentford from Arsenal?

Formerly of Barnet, right back Oyegoke will now be looking to follow in the footsteps of midfielder Josh Dasilva.

Da Silva joined Brentford in similar circumstances in 2018, rejecting a new deal with Arsenal and joining the Bees, becoming a first-team player.

Defenders Fin Stevens and Dominic Thompson were also in the Arsenal ranks before heading to Brentford, and Oyegoke now looks set to join them.
