According to ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy was excited by the prospect of Kyle Walker-Peters and Troy Parrott breaking into the first team next season.

Right-back Walker-Peters and striker Parrott are Tottenham academy graduates, and Spurs chairman Levy was looking forward to watching them in the first team during the 2020-21 campaign, according to the report.

However, according to the report, Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho did not rate either, and neither player will be in his squad next season.

While Walker-Peters has joined Premier League rivals Southampton on a permanent contract after a loan spell at St. Mary’s Stadium during the second half of this past season, Parrott has moved to Millwall in the Championship on a season-long loan deal.

Good decision?

Walker-Peters is 23 years of age, and it was hard to see him establish himself in the Tottenham first team now.

It made sense for the right-back to make his loan move at Southampton permanent.

As for Parrott, the Republic of Ireland international striker is only 18 years of age, and he does have a long-term future at Spurs, especially if he does well at Millwall next season.
