Crystal Palace reportedly consider Tottenham’s £15m offer for Wilfried Zaha to be ‘derisory’.

According to The Guardian, Crystal Palace have told Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy that winger Wilfried Zaha is not for sale – and even want to start new contract talks with the player.
Zaha, 23, came up through the ranks at Selhurst Park before moving to Manchester United in 2013, becoming Sir Alex Ferguson’s final ever signing before leaving Old Trafford that summer.

After a miserable year with the Red Devils, Zaha headed back to Palace and has been a regular for the Eagles ever since, though question marks continue to surround his end product.
With just two goals and one assist last season, Zaha didn’t have incredible numbers, but did win Palace’s Player of the Year award – and his performances appear to have attracted interest.

The Guardian report that London rivals Tottenham Hotspur have offered £15m for the Ivory Coast-born winger, but Palace are believed to have rejected the offer, whilst telling Spurs chairman Daniel Levy that Zaha is not for sale.
In fact, Palace are even trying to nail Zaha down to a new contract at Selhurst Park, having considered Tottenham’s opening offer for the ex-England international to be ‘derisory’.

Palace will understand the bond between Zaha and the fans, and having sold two fan favourites already this summer in Mile Jedinak and Yannick Bolasie, they will be wary of letting Zaha go, especially to a London rival.
It’s hard to see Levy go much further than £15m, and having been told that Zaha is not for sale, Spurs may well turn their attentions elsewhere as they search for pace down the flanks.
