Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy does not want to appoint Brendan Rodgers as the new manager and is speaking to Oliver Glasner instead, according to a report.

Football Transfers have reported that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy does not fancy former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers and is personally “talking to Eintracht Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner”.

The report had claimed that Tottenham executive director Donna-Maria Cullen is “pushing for the appointment of Rodgers”.

The view is that Rodgers would be able to convince Leicester City duo Youri Tielemans and James Maddison to make the move to Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

However, according to the report, Levy is against the idea of getting in Rodgers and wants Glasner instead.

“Glasner, who won the Europa League last season, is Levy’s first choice but talks have not developed much as of yet,” adds the report in Football Transfers.

Daniel Levy could have final say over Brendan Rodgers v Oliver Glasner at Tottenham Hotspur

In our view, Daniel Levy is going to have the final say over who becomes the new Tottenham Hotspur manager.

Yes, Levy is going to take into account whatever the other board members say.

However, we believe that the Spurs chairman is going to have the final say.

Now, of course, Tottenham could appoint a Sporting Director before they bring in a new manager.

And that would be a factor.

But, we believe that if Levy is determined to get Glasner and the 48-year-old Austrian is willing to take over at Tottenham in the summer of 2023, then a deal could happen.
