Daniel Levy has already decided that Julian Nagelsmann will be his top choice to replace Tottenham Hotspur’s Jose Mourinho, if he does let them Portuguese boss go, the Telegraph report.

Nagelsmann has a number of admirers at Tottenham, after his impressive work with RB Leipzig.

The German side knocked Tottenham out of last year’s Champions League in comfortable circumstances, with Nagelsmann’s tactics working far more effectively than Mourinho’s.

Of course, at that time Mourinho was only early on in his tenure at Tottenham.

However, as time has progressed very little improvements have been visible and Tottenham now sit in ninth.

The Telegraph claim that Mourinho is not in any immediate danger of the sack, but Levy’s mind will be made up over the next fortnight.

Tottenham have a run of winnable games, and if Mourinho cannot pick up many positive results then the end could be near for him at the North London club.

Nagelsmann apparently would be open to a Premier League switch at the end of the campaign, which has put him right at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist.

If Nagelsmann was brought to Spurs he would surely encourage a more attacking brand of football than Mourinho has deployed, with the 33-year-old regarded as one of the most forward thinking managers in the game.
