Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to bring a striker in on loan before buying him on a permanent deal at a later date, Football London report.
Jose Mourinho has stressed Spurs’s need for a striker once again after their 1-0 defeat to Everton, but still no progress seems to have been made.
Football London suggest that any deal is some way off, with Spurs assessing a long list of targets in their bid to bring in a new number nine.
Tottenham’s problem stems from the fact that they don’t have vast amounts of money to spend on new players.
Instead, Spurs are looking to do a deal which is effectively on a try before you buy basis.

Tottenham would like to bringing in a forward on loan, with the option to make his deal a longer-term if he impresses.
Whether that will be possible still remains to be seen, but Daniel Levy’s plan is ideally not to spend a huge amount on a new forward in the near future.
