According to a report in the Daily Telegraph, Mauricio Pochettino has been given a £50 million budget by Daniel Levy at Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs are set to be without Harry Kane and Heung Min-Son for a number of weeks, leaving their attacking options short.

Kane is out with injury, while Son is away at the Asian Cup, and Tottenham are now re-assessing their transfer plans.

Spurs had been prepared to have a quiet January, but Pochettino has now reportedly been handed a £50 million budget to spend on new players.

The news that Levy has given Pochettino some money to spend is sure to delight Tottenham supporters, who had been growing frustrated with their lack of new additions.

Tottenham feel that they may need a new striker to ensure that they remain competitive in both the Premier League and the Champions League.

Spurs have both Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen available to play as strikers, but the former has shown signs of age, while Pochettino has admitted the latter is no longer part of his plans.

Tottenham are next in action against Fulham on Sunday, when they will be looking to bounce back from defeat against Manchester United.
