According to The Sun, Manchester United winger Daniel James fancies a move to Brighton and Hove Albion despite interest from Leeds United.

It’s claimed that Seagulls boss Graham Potter wants to take James on loan for the second half of the season, and will ask United for a deal.

James allegedly fancies playing for Potter again, having previously worked together at Swansea City during the 2018-19 season.

Leeds also want James having twice tried to sign him – but it seems the Welsh winger prefers a move to Brighton instead.

James actually started for United on Sunday afternoon though, turning in a superb performance in the 6-2 win over Leeds.

The 23-year-old scored United’s fifth goal and caused havoc all day, exploiting the space left in transition to help dismantle the Whites.

Few would blame James for now wanting to stay at United and prove that he can carve out a first-team role under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rather than move on.

Yet with the European Championships on the horizon, James won’t want to spend the second half of the season sat on the sidelines ahead of playing for Wales, so Brighton and Leeds may still have hope.
