According to The Scottish Sun, Benfica winger Daniel Candeias will become Rangers’ latest signing as he jets into Glasgow this evening, with a medical set to be completed on Friday.
Rangers have already snapped up four new signings this summer, bringing defenders Bruno Alves and Fabio Cardoso to the club as well as midfielder Ryan Jack and winger Dalcio.

Mexican internationals Carlos Pena and Eduardo Herrera are also set to sign pending work permits being granted, but manager Pedro Caixinha is far from done there.
Just hours after Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat reported that HJK Helsinki’s Colombian goal machine Alfredo Morelos is nearing a move to Rangers, it seems that Caixinha will have another new face in his squad.

The Scottish Sun report that Benfica winger Daniel Candeias is flying to Glasgow this evening in order to put the final touches to a move to Ibrox, where he will reunite with Caixinha.
The wide man, 29, worked under Caixinha at Nacional, and whilst he joined Benfica in 2014, he has spent his entire time with the club out on loan with Nurnberg, Granada, Metz and Alanyaspor.

His loan move to Alanyaspor earlier this year saw him hit four goals and four assists in 29 appearances, but he will now head to Rangers in a £700,000 permanent transfer, boosting Caixinha’s options on the flanks.
Candeias should be eager to reunite with his former manager having thrived under him, and with a medical set to be completed on Friday, a deal may well be done over the weekend.
