Celtic are reportedly set to sign the 19-year-old on a minimum two-season loan.

Daniel Arzani of Australia trains during an Australia Socceroos training session at Stadium Trudovye Rezervy on June 17, 2018 in Kazan, Russia.

The Daily Record have reported that Manchester City-bound Daniel Arzani will spend at least two seasons on loan at Celtic.

The Daily Mail reported earlier this afternoon that Celtic had beaten off interest from PSV Eindhoven to sign the 19-year-old, who will join the Premier League champions for £280,000.

And The Record now claims that the Australia international – who made three appearances at the World Cup – will be at Parkhead until at least 2020.

If true, it’s a massive boost for the Hoops and especially if the highly-rated winger proves to be as talented as he’s been billed.

Such is his potential, the Melbourne City attacker is also reported to have courted interest from Roma, reinforcing that Celtic, if it happens, are getting a great deal.

The Bhoys have a healthy relationship with Pep Guardiola’s side, after helping to develop Patrick Roberts since January 2016, while Brendan Rodgers also paid £4.5 million to sign Olivier Ntcham from the Eastlands club last summer.

If and when it happens, Arzani will be Rodgers’s third summer signing, after retaining the services of Scott Bain and spending a club-record £8 million on Odsonne Edouard.

Daniel Arzani of Australia lines up his shot on goal during the International Friendly match between Hungary and Australia at Groupama Arena on June 9, 2018 in Budapest, Hungary.
