According to Estadio Deportivo, Arsenal and Tottenham will have to pay over £20 million if they want to sign Emerson Royal this summer.
The Spanish news outlet claim that Barcelona – who share the player’s rights with Real Betis – have agreed to sell for a sum of €25 million (£21.8 million) with their fellow La Liga side.
Emerson will be sold if a club offers this amount, with the 8-cap Brazil Under-23 international free to leave.
Tottenham’s interest is mentioned in Estadio Deportivo‘s report.
Elsewhere, a separate report from Estadio Deportivo revealed that Arsenal were keen to sign the 22-year-old.
Both of the sides from north London have issues at right-back.

José Mourinho doesn’t seem to trust Matt Doherty or Serge Aurier, with the pair making 12 and 15 Premier League starts respectively this term.
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta had told Hector Bellerin he can leave, according to Calciomercato.
If Emerson does come to the Premier League, supporters can expect a player similar to former Barcelona icon Dani Alves.

The Arsenal and Tottenham target has been likened to the 37-year-old.
UOL wrote that he ‘mirrors’ the São Paulo maestro.
Keep an eye on this transfer saga, as it seems very likely that Emerson will leave Spain this summer, in our view.
