Benfica B forward Dalcio is expected to clinch his loan move to Glasgow Rangers by the end of this week, report Mais Futebol.
Rangers are negotiating to bring a number of Portuguese players to Ibrox to support the overhaul being put into place by new boss Pedro Caixinha.
Caixinha inherited a team low on confidence last season and fresh faces are vital to liven up the squad.
Dalcio, 21, is reported to be cutting short his holidays in order to clinch a move to Ibrox.
New Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha
Pedro Caixinha wants him on board ahead of pre-season beginning on June 5, with Rangers having an early start due to their Europa League campaign beginning later this month.
Dalcio is a promising but inexperienced striker who joined Benfica two years ago from Belenenses.
He was loaned back to them to gain first team football and now is set for a new adventure in Glasgow.
While very much an unknown quantity compared to the illustrious CV of fellow new boy Bruno Alves, he is a low risk signing as he comes on loan, and Rangers are not on the hook if his spell is not a success.
