According to The Athletic, Marco Silva has reached an agreement with Fulham to replace Scott Parker at Craven Cottage.
What’s the story?
Well, the Cottagers recently saw Parker join Bournemouth.
As a result, they have acted quickly to bring Silva to west London, a man who could’ve ended up in south London instead this summer.
According to The Athletic, the 43-year-old had an online interview with Crystal Palace after a deal for Nuno Espírito Santo fell through.
Silva impressed in his webinar session, with some at Selhurst Park preferring the Portuguese coach to Lucien Favre.
Now, it seems like Patrick Vieira will be Roy Hodgson’s replacement.
The alternatives are running out

If Crystal Palace fans wanted someone other than Vieira, the options are running out.
Valérien Ismaël was an option, but he’s been hired by West Brom.
Frank Lampard was spoken to, but he told Crystal Palace he didn’t want the job.

Elsewhere, Favre has told the south Londoners he needs a longer rest, while Sean Dyche has agreed a new contract at Burnley (90min).
Still, you would think Crystal Palace could find someone better than Vieira.
Nevertheless, it seems as if Steve Parish has found his man, albeit a very underwhelming and inexperienced choice – to say the least.
