Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on signing the Arsenal striker.
According to an exclusive report from the Sun, Crystal Palace are weighing up making a £10 million bid for Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck in January, as Roy Hodgson looks to add more firepower to his attacking ranks at Selhurst Park.
Welbeck, 27, joined the Gunners from Manchester United in the summer of 2014, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £16 million, and he has since gone on to score 32 goals in 125 appearances.
The 42-capped England international can play anywhere along the front-line, and he possesses blistering pace – something that would make him fit right into the way in which Crystal Palace play.
Welbeck is also strong in the air, and would be able to lead the line for the Eagles on his own, relieving some of the pressure from Wilfried Zaha’s shoulders.
The Sun claims that Arsenal might just be willing to sell Welbeck in January, although it is unclear as to whether Palace will be able to obtain his signature for the £10 million that they are reportedly prepared to spend.
