According to a report from the Independent, Crystal Palace are interested in signing Leicester City front-man Shinji Okazaki on loan this month.

The Eagles have endured a difficult start to their Premier League campaign, and they currently sit in 14th spot in the table, just three points clear of the drop zone.

One area where Roy Hodgson will be desperate to improve his his attacking department, with his side’s meagre truly of just 23 goals scored in 23 Premier League games threatening to undermine their chances of enjoying a successful campaign.

The Independent claims that Crystal Palace could be looking to bolster their attacking ranks at Selhurst Park with a move for Foxes hitman Okazaki before the transfer window slams shut next week.

The 32-year-old Premier League winner is incredibly hard-working, and always makes willing runs into the channels, creating more space for his teammates to operate in.

The Japanese ace would undoubtedly be a useful addition to Hodgson’s squad at Palace, but whether Leicester will be willing to sanction his exit remains to be seen.
