Chelsea are hoping to sell £30 million-rated striker Michy Batshuayi this summer but a return to Crystal Palace is very unlikely to happen, according to the Express.
A Belgian international might have spent the last few seasons contracted to the West London giants but his finest spell in English football actually came under the stewardship of Roy Hodgson.
Batshuayi started more Premier League games during a short loan spell at Crystal Palace in 2018/19 than he has managed during four years at Chelsea.
And, having scored five goals in 11 appearances, the Eagles would love to bring the 26-year-old back on a permanent basis.
But unless Batshuayi is willing to take a substantial pay cut, the chances of him pulling on the red and blue stripes again look about as slim as one of Peter Crouch’s telescopic limbs.
The Express reports that Chelsea are hoping to sell a man who has spent much of his time in west London gathering dust on the bench, with the 2017 Premier League winner valued at a reduced £30 million.

But Crystal Palace simply cannot afford his hefty wage packet. Batshuayi currently earns £90,000-a-week at Chelsea, according to Spotrac.
Money is not everything of course and, after four years stuck on the sidelines, maybe the former Marseille ace would be willing to accept a smaller contract in order to secure regular first-team football at long last.
Hodgson is a huge fan and Palace are crying out for a penalty-box poacher capable of taking advantage of the service provided by Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend.
