Tottenham Hotspur could see their former winger Jack Clarke make a Premier League return with London rivals Crystal Palace.
Spurs thought they had signed a top young star back in 2019 as they pounced for Clarke.
The winger had impressed in the Leeds United first team having emerged through their youth ranks.
However, Clarke failed to make the grade at Tottenham and spent most of his time out on loan at Leeds, Queens Park Rangers, Stoke City and Sunderland.
After just four first-team appearances for Tottenham, Clarke was sold to Sunderland last summer.
The deal involved Tottenham receiving a low fee but add-ons could take the deal all the way up to £10million.
Clarke has been shining for Sunderland – and that could lead to a big Premier League move at the end of the season.

Crystal Palace want former Tottenham winger Jack Clarke
The Sun now report that Crystal Palace want to sign Clarke this summer.
It’s suggested that Palace scouted Clarke in action against Hull City on Friday evening and were suitably impressed.
Clarke registered two assists and a goal in a pulsating 4-4 draw with Palace watching on.
The 22-year-old has really kicked on since leaving Tottenham and has now racked up eight goals and eight assists in 39 Championship games this season.
That could lead to a Premier League return with Palace eyeing up him as a replacement for out-of-contract Wilfried Zaha.
Tottenham will surely have a sell-on clause as part of the deal to sell Clarke to Sunderland and they could rake in some cash from this potential move.
The move to Spurs may not have worked out for Clarke, but Tottenham will be looking very closely at Clarke’s future as a London returns becomes a real possibility.
