According to The Sunday Mirror (21/02, p72), Eddie Howe is now top of the Crystal Palace wish list as they consider replacements for Roy Hodgson.
It’s claimed that Palace are currently planning to let Hodgson’s contract run out this summer and look to replace him.
Steve Parish currently has a three-man list of potential replacements for Hodgson, with Howe now believed to be top of the pile.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche and Swansea City’s Steve Cooper are also on the wish list, but it’s Howe who now looks to be first choice.
Howe has been out of work since the end of last season, having left his position as Bournemouth boss following their relegation from the Premier League.
The 43-year-old built up a strong reputation across two spells and more than 450 games as Bournemouth manager, but it was a rather disappointing end to his time with the Cherries.

Howe could be a man in demand; The Sun report that Celtic want him as a replacement for Neil Lennon, whilst Newcastle United also fancy him if they look to move on from Steve Bruce.
Palace must be an appealing job with the likes of Eberechi Eze and Wilfried Zaha in the ranks, and they may now hope to win the race ahead of Newcastle and Celtic.
