Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on Brentford attacker Ollie Watkins.

According to Sky Sports (11:06am), Crystal Palace have joined the race to sign Brentford attacker Ollie Watkins – but it will take a ‘huge offer’ to tempt the Championship club into a deal.
Palace have been quiet in the transfer market this summer, but with question marks over the future of winger Andros Townsend, attacking reinforcements may be wanted at Selhurst Park.
West Ham United’s Michail Antonio continues to be linked with the Eagles, but now another exciting attacker has been linked with a move to South London this summer.
Sky Sports (11:06am) reported on Saturday that Palace have now joined Bournemouth in the race to sign Brentford attacker Ollie Watkins, with a potential bid in the pipeline.
However, it’s claimed that Brentford don’t want to sell, and it would take a ‘huge offer’ to even get them to consider allowing Watkins to leave Griffin Park this summer.
Watkins, 22, joined Brentford from Exeter City last summer having starred in League Two, and he enjoyed a promising first season in West London, hitting 10 goals and four assists for Dean Smith’s side.

A left winger or striker, Watkins has shown real potential in the Championship, and it’s no great surprise that clubs from the Premier League are starting to sit up and take notice.
Yet with Brentford having no great desire or need to sell, Palace – and Bournemouth, for that matter – may find it incredibly difficult to prise the young attacker away from the Bees this summer.
