Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.

According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace are lining up an ambitious move for Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish – if they end up selling winger Wilfried Zaha this summer.

Palace could still land a top 10 finish this season, and fans were given plenty to shout about with a superb win at Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

Zaha put on another masterclass as Palace stunned their London neighbours, and his display has again sparked rumours that the 26-year-old Ivorian could be on the move this summer.

The Daily Mail now report that Palace want £80million for Zaha this summer, and if they do sell their prized asset, then the Eagles want to lure Aston Villa ace Grealish to South London.

Grealish, 23, has impressed for Villa again this season, notching six goals and six assists to fire Villa into Premier League contention, having decided to stay for another season with his boyhood club despite interest from Tottenham last summer.

Tottenham are still thought to be keen, but would be facing a battle with Palace for his signature, which may be even more difficult if Villa do return to the top flight.

A move for Grealish would be interested as he isn’t exactly a like-for-like replacement for Zaha. He doesn’t have the pace of Zaha, and certainly isn’t the same threat on the break, nor does he feature out wide or up front like Zaha does.

Yet as a player who can take on defenders and produce moments of magic, Grealish could replace Zaha’s spark in the Palace attack, though potentially forcing Roy Hodgson to re-think his tactics.
