Tosun has struggled to break into Everton’s side of late.

Turkish outlet Hurriyet have reported that Crystal Palace have made an offer to sign Everton striker Cenk Tosun before next week’s deadline, and Tosun is said to be keen on a move to London.

Palace have been after a striker this month and were close to signing Liverpool’s Dom Solanke, before a deal was cancelled. They are, though, set to sign goalkeeper Lucas Perri from Sao Paulo.

Signing a striker remains key for Roy Hodgson’s side, and Turkey international Tosun is seemingly the man they have turned to. The German-born Turkey international has managed just 659 minutes of Premier League football this season.

That has been spread over 16 appearances, in which he has only scored two goals. Manager Marco Silva has preferred Dom Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison of late, while Oumar Niasse has gone to Cardiff City.

Silva is said to be very keen to offload Tosun to Palace, who cost Everton a whopping £27million just a year ago. Indeed, he wants to make room for potential new recruit Michy Batshuayi at Goodison Park.

It is also believed that former Besiktas striker Tosun wants to move to Palace in his search for regular game time, after managing just 33 appearances since joining the Merseyside club a year ago.

It remains to be seen if Palace and Everton will thrash out a permanent deal, or indeed the Eagles look to bring in Tosun on loan until the end of the season. Tosun has a contract at Everton until the summer of 2022.
