There is no love lost between Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Brighton & Hove Albion are one of several clubs considering a move for Fraizer Campbell, who plays for fierce rivals Crystal Palace, according to Sky Sports.

Brighton would not require Palace’s blessing before making an approach for Campbell, whose Selhurst Park contract expires this summer.

And the 29-year-old has yet to be offered an extension, with injury restricting him to just 11 Premier League appearances this season.

Brighton are said to be weighing up moves for a number of potential recruits, as they “look to build a squad capable of staying up in the Premier League next season”.

And Campbell is not the only top-flight player to be linked with the Seagulls this week, with Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva also said to be on Chris Hughton’s radar.

A switch to the Amex Stadium would see the former Manchester United trainee team up once again with Glenn Murray, who left Brighton for Palace six years ago, before returning to East Sussex last summer from Bournemouth.
