Crystal Palace are looking at Sunderland’s Patrick Van Aanholt and Leeds United’s Charlie Taylor.
According to a report in The Guardian, Sam Allardyce wants to spend big at Crystal Palace in January to improve the squad.
Allardyce has taken over at Selhurst Park from Alan Pardew, and he is eager to make alterations to the squad which has been left to him at Selhurst Park.
Palace are keen to sign a new left-back, with Allardyce already lining up targets ahead of the trasfner window reopening.
Sunderland’s Patrick Van Aanholt and Leeds United’s Charlie Taylor are both believed to be under serious consideration.
Allardyce worked with Van Aanholt at the Stadium of Light last season, and he managed to get the best out of the Dutch defender.
Sunderland may be loathed to sell Van Aanholt, though, as he remains a crucial part of their starting line-up, as they battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Leeds will also be eager not to lose Taylor, but January may be the last chance for the Yorkshire side to receive any money for the talented full-back, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Palace are also said to be keen to sign Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone and Arsenal’s Kieran Gibbs.
