According to a report from Danish outlet BT, Crystal Palace have seen a number of bids for Alexander Sorloth rejected by Midtjylland during the final days of the January transfer window.

Sorloth is enjoying a sensational season in the Danish top flight. He arrived after a miserable time with Eredivisie side Groningen where he scored just five goals in 38 games across two seasons. But he has had no problem putting those problems behind him.

The Norway international has scored 10 goals in just 19 league games for Midtjylland to help them top the table heading into the second-half of the season which begins in February.

But it appeared that he may not have got the chance to help them try and capitalise on their current position, with BT reporting that he had caught Crystal Palace’s eye and the Premier League side have since made a number of bids.

BT reports that the latest bid could have ultimately cost Palace around £6.9 million if it had been accepted, but Midtjylland have decided to stand firm and hold their ground and reject all offers that have come their way.

The Eagles will be hoping to bounce back from their emphatic defeat to Arsenal last time out when they take on West Ham United at the London Stadium on Tuesday night. Victory for Roy Hodgson’s men could see them move into the top-half of the table.
