According to The Scottish Sun, Crystal Palace want to open the bidding for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard at around £25million.
It’s claimed that clubs had expected the initial valuation to start at £30million, but that has come down recently – possibly due to the global pandemic.
Palace are now seemingly seeing an opportunity to swoop, and have been watching Edouard in action for the Bhoys for some time now.
Celtic remain adamant that Edouard isn’t leaving, but ‘several’ clubs have allegedly made contact with Edouard’s representatives.
Palace do need another goalscorer, but they won’t find it easy to land Edouard given how many clubs will want to sign the 22-year-old.
The Frenchman racked up 27 goals and 19 assists this past season, and even just this weekend he was linked with a move to Leeds United.

The Mirror believe that Leeds will launch a move for Edouard if they win promotion, with Marcelo Bielsa particularly keen to add him to the Leeds side.
Palace could now threaten that Leeds pursuit, but Celtic will no doubt want to spark a bidding war for their star striker with so many clubs interested.
