Crystal Palace have reportedly been quoted a steep asking price for Lille defender Ibrahim Amadou.

According to Sky Sports, the Ligue 1 outfit are demanding no less than £17.6m for their versatile captain, who can also play in holding midfield and has been chased by the Eagles throughout the January window.

Sky Sports add that Palace have already had lodged two unsuccessful bids for the Frenchman; one an initial loan offer with an option to buy at the end of the season, and the other for a permanent transfer worth £16m.

Although there is not much between Palace’s last bid and Lille’s valuation, £17.6m would make Amadou the club’s third most expensive signing behind Christian Benteke and Mamadou Sakho, according to Transfermarkt.
