According to London News Online, Crystal Palace have decided to put Jairo Riedewald and Martin Kelly up for sale, with both surplus to requirements.
What’s the story?
Well, Patrick Vieira is halfway through his first season at Crystal Palace, and he’s barely used Riedewald and Kelly.
London News Online believe the Eagles would be open to a loan deal for Riedewald, as well as a permanent exit for the Dutchman.
So far this season, the £55,000-a-week man has made just one Premier League start as he finds himself far down in Vieira’s midfield pecking order.
In Kelly’s case, the 2014 signing from Liverpool finds himself out of contract in June, so understandably, Crystal Palace would be open to receiving some cash for him this month before he leaves for nothing.
The 31-year-old hasn’t made a single appearance this season, but has been named on the bench 19 times.
Jairo Riedewald deserves a chance at Crystal Palace

Whenever Riedewald has been called upon in recent years, he’s been composed in possession and positive with his passing.
It was refreshing to witness during the days of Roy Hodgson, in which the style of play was extremely defensive, and few players looked to attack.
Riedewald’s abilities would appear to suit Vieira’s style of play, although he hasn’t been given many opportunities due to the competition for places.

The likes of Conor Gallagher, Will Hughes, James McArthur, Luka Milivojevic, Cheikhou Kouyate and Jeffrey Schlupp have been keeping the 25-year-old out of the team.
However, with McArthur currently injured and Kouyate at the Africa Cup of Nations, it surely wouldn’t hurt to give Riedewald some chances to impress.
