According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace are now pursuing Sean Dyche as Steve Parish searches for his Roy Hodgson replacement.
However, the pursuit is being held up, due to the finances involved in luring the 49-year-old away from Burnley.
The Daily Mail state that Crystal Palace would have to pay £3 million in compensation to the Clarets.
Added to his wages, that would see the Eagles pay Dyche £7 million-a-year.
Dyche would also expect a £3 million survival bonus should he move to Selhurst Park, which he currently has written into his Burnley contract.
What will Crystal Palace do now?
As a result of these expenses, the Daily Mail believe Crystal Palace are now considering alternatives to the manager with 68 Premier League wins.

Swansea boss Steve Cooper is a contender, while Chris Wilder and Frank Lampard are also both on the club’s shortlist.
Wilder and Lampard would be considerably easier to hire, as they are both currently unemployed and free to talk to clubs.

In Cooper’s case, his future may depend on Swansea’s Play-Off final result.
With just days until the transfer window officially opens on June 9th, Crystal Palace would surely like to have this sorted before then.
With such a big summer ahead, Parish has to get this appointment right.
