Armstrong Okoflex is facing an uncertain future at Celtic with Crystal Palace considering a new bid for a youngster they tried to sign over the summer, as reported by All Nigeria Soccer.

Given that the Dublin-born winger turned down a scholarship contract at Arsenal in 2018, believing that Celtic would offer a better chance of securing first-team football, he could be forgiven for feeling a little disappointed about how things have turned out in Glasgow.

Okoflex has not made a single senior appearance for Celtic. In fact, he has only been included in the matchday squad for a single Scottish Premiership fixture – the 1-0 victory over Kilmarnock in February 2019.

With his contract due to expire next summer, All Nigeria Soccer reports that Okoflex will be free to enter talks with interested parties during the January window.

Crystal Palace are one of those. The Eagles failed with a bid for Okoflex before October’s transfer deadline but could make another in the near future.

Palace have made a clear effort to inject some youth into an ageing squad, signing Eberechi Eze, Scott Banks and Nathan Ferguson.

Blessed with speed and skill in the final third, Okoflex looks an ideal fit for a Crystal Palace side who are slowly emerging as one of the Premier League’s most watchable teams.
