Crystal Palace are interested in signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.
The Sun have reported that Palace want to sign Loftus-Cheek on a loan deal and are planning ‘to make a shock move’.
The 26-year-old had a loan spell at Palace from Chelsea in 2017-18.
Palace (as well as Nottingham Forest) are growing impatient with their move for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White and have identified Loftus-Cheek as a potential alternative, according to the report.
Could Ruben Loftus-Cheek move to Crystal Palace from Chelsea?
In our view, it is unlikely that Crystal Palace will be able to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea, especially on a loan deal.

If Chelsea feel that the 26-year-old – described by former Tottenham Hotspur striker Gary Lineker as “hugely talented” on Twitter in May 2015 – does not have a future at the club, then surely the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners would sell him rather than send him out on another loan.
Loftus-Cheek himself might feel that he could become an important player under Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel this season.
After all, the Englishman made 13 starts and 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League and played eight times in the Champions League for the Blues last season.
