AFC Wimbledon striker Daniel Agyei has been offered a trial by Crystal Palace.

According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace have offered a trial to AFC Wimbledon striker Daniel Agyei – despite the player training with West Ham.

Agyei, 17, has come up through the ranks at AFC Wimbledon, and is expected to make an impact in the first team at the League Two side next season.

However, the Dons now face losing Agyei, with interest building in his signature according to a report from the Daily Mail, who believe a number of clubs are vying for his signature.

They suggest that Agyei has spent the week training with West Ham United, who are keen to lure him to Upton Park this summer.

Now though, Crystal Palace have allegedly joined the race for his signature, and have also offered him a trial during their pre-season training schedule.

The move could be a blow for the Hammers, as their former boss Alan Pardew looks to steal in and take him to Selhurst Park ahead of the new Premier League season.

Which team would be the best destination for Agyei?

Crystal Palace are in need of striking options this summer, but Agyei would be unlikely to make an instant impact considering age, and could follow in the footsteps of Nathaniel Clyne, Victor Moses and Wilfried Zaha in learning his trade with the Eagles.

Yet, with West Ham about to move to the Olympic Stadium, Agyei could find great facilities at West Ham’s disposal, as well as a long history of developing young players – but with both sides harbouring high ambitions in the Premier League, Agyei could be spoilt for choice as he decides his next destination.
