Afolabi could join one of Southampton’s league rivals, Crystal Palace or Aston Villa, after leaving Saints.

Crystal Palace have offered a contract to the former Southampton striker, Jonathan Afolabi, who is also interesting Aston Villa, according to Football.London.
The website claims that Afolabi has rejected Southampton’s offer of a new deal, in favour of finding regular first-team football.
The Republic of Ireland youth international recently trialled with Millwall, but it is with the Lions’ south London rivals, Crystal Palace, that he appears most likely to resurface.
That said, Aston Villa are just one of the numerous clubs – in England, Russia and Spain – who could rival Palace for Afolabi’s signature, according to Football.London.
Both Crystal Palace and Aston Villa either have or could have vacancies in Afolabi’s position ahead of next month’s transfer deadline.
The futures of Palace duo, Alexander Sorloth, Cristian Benteke, are far from certain, with the same applying to Scott Hogan and Keinan Davis of Villa.

Afolabi joined Southampton from St Joseph’s Boys in 2016 but failed to make a competitive senior appearance for the Saints.
Would the former Southampton striker be a good addition for Crystal Palace or Aston Villa?
