Crystal Palace are now seen as the most likely destination for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard before the transfer deadline.
That’s according to The Express, who claim that sources close to Edouard believe a move to Selhurst Park is most likely if he looks to leave Celtic over the next six days.
West Ham United have said no to a deal for Edouard, whilst Brighton are believed to have baulked at Edouard’s wage demands of around £85,000-a-week.
That means Palace are considered favourites, with Patrick Vieira keen to secure a £15million deal before the transfer deadline.
Palace tried to sign Adam Armstrong before his move to Southampton, and they simply must find another striker before the window slams shut.
Edouard fits the bill. He’s big, strong, has a turn of pace and is technically gifted, giving Palace a striker who would become the complete forward.
His goalscoring record at Celtic is outstanding; 86 goals in 177 games, all whilst also picking up 39 assists and being branded ‘world class’ by Celtic teammate David Turnbull.

Edouard, 23, is out of contract next summer, meaning Palace are sensing a potential bargain – and they may have a secret weapon.
Said Aigoun has come in as Vieira’s development coach, and he actually worked with Edouard in the Paris Saint-German academy ranks.
A reunion may now take place over the next week, but Palace need to get a move on if they’re to strike a deal.
