Crystal Palace are desperate to bring in a striker this month.

Roy Hodgson, Manager of Crystal Palace looks on prior to the Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Cardiff City at Selhurst Park on December 26, 2018 in London, United Kingdom.

According to the London Evening Standard, Crystal Palace are now looking at free agent strikers to bolster Roy Hodgson’s attacking options.

The Eagles are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements, especially with Alexander Sorloth seemingly inching towards the Selhurst Park exit door.

Palace don’t have bags of money to throw at the problem though, and with a loan deal for Dominic Solanke falling through, other options are being looked at.

The London Evening Standard report that Everton’s Oumar Niasse is one target, but Palace are ready to take a drastic measure and look to free agents as a possible solution.

As you can imagine, free agents in January aren’t exactly exciting, and there are only three options who really fit the bill for the Eagles, with most being completely uninspiring – though if Odion Ighalo terminates his Changchun Yatai contract, that may change.

Lacina Traore: The giant Ivorian stands at 6ft 8in tall, and is a free agent having left Monaco at the end of last season. He did have a short spell with Everton in 2014 and spent last season on loan with Amiens, where he failed to score in 18 appearances.

Amiens' Ivorian forward Lacina Traore reacts during the French L1 football match between Nantes and Amiens on February 24, 2018 at the Beaujoire stadium in Nantes, western France.

Emmanuel Emenike: Formerly of West Ham United, the Nigerian front man was released by Olympiakos over the summer and hasn’t found a new club. The 31-year-old may still have something in the tank, though he only managed four goals for Olympiakos and two for West Ham.

Moussa Sow: Recently let go by Shabab Al-Ahli in the UAE, Sow is 32 but at least he has a good record. The Senegal hitman scored four times in 11 games during a loan spell at Bursaspor last season, and having been in the game recently, may be the fittest option out there.
