Crystal Palace midfielder Jordon Mutch could be heading to Championship club Reading in January.

Crystal Palace midfielder Jordon Mutch is yet to play a single game this season. He was overlooked by Frank de Boer, and his situation hasn’t improved under new manager Roy Hodgson either.
The 25-year-old midfielder joined Palace from Queens Park Rangers in 2015, but has made only 40 appearances for them in all competitions.
He was sent on loan to Championship club Reading last season where he made nine league appearances.

A new midfielder is not high up on Jaap Stam’s shopping list for January, but that does not mean he cannot bring one in.

Reading are well-stocked in this position, but there is no harm in signing a quality player on loan. Plus, Stam’s fondness of playing a midfield three means there could always be room for selection.
Mutch needs regular games under his belt, and it has become daylight clear that he won’t be getting that anytime soon at Palace.
