Crystal Palace will reportedly target Atalanta’s Serie A star Castagne if Aaron Wan-Bissaka leaves to join Premier League rivals Manchester United.

Crystal Palace have made contact with Belgian international Timothy Castagne as they prepare for the potential departure of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United, according to The Guardian.
As it stands, it remains very uncertain whether The Eagles’ Croydon-born academy starlet will still by playing his football at Selhurst Park next season.
Manchester United need a new right-back and The Guardian reports that they are considering a second bid for Wan-Bissaka, having seen an initial £40 million offer turned down. And, crucially in this era of ‘player power’, the 21-year-old is apparently keen to seize what he views as a once in a lifetime opportunity.
As a result, that has left Palace in the unenviable position of needing to replace one of the Premier League’s biggest young talents.
And the report suggests that they have turned to Castagne who, while not possessing the same unlimited potential as Wan-Bissaka, is an established Belgian international who recently helped Atalanta qualify for the Champions League for the first time.

A swashbuckling and attack-minded full-back, Palace have apparently made contact already.
Interestingly, Castagne’s father hinted to Het Nieuwsblad last week that his son could be interested in a move to Crystal Palace with Atalanta demanding £17 million.
