The Daily Mail claim Crystal Palace are the latest Premier League club to show interest in Tottenham and England midfielder Harry Winks. The Spurs academy graduate is expected to leave Spurs in the coming weeks.

Winks, 26, has been pushed down the pecking order by Antonio Conte since the Italian’s arrival. It is after the signing of Rodrigo Bentancur. Now, Spurs are set to bring in Yves Bissouma from Brighton before the week is done.

Eight years after his senior debut for the club under Mauricio Pochettino back in 2014 – a Europa League clash against Partizan Belgrade – Winks is now set to depart. He has played 202 times in all competitions for Spurs.

Reports state that he is likely to go with Newcastle and Everton both showing interest in the midfielder – who also has 10 England caps. Now, The Mail’s latest report claims Patrick Vieira wants him at Selhurst Park.

Palace show interest in Tottenham midfielder Winks

It would be perfect for Winks – a move he would surely prefer over the likes of Newcastle and Everton. Winks would be able to remain situated in London, rather than having to travel miles north to either of the aforementioned two.

Palace want a midfielder and have been strongly linked with Cheick Doucoure of Lens. It comes with Conor Gallagher due to return to Chelsea after his loan, and Cheikhou Kouyate being out of contract at the end of the month.

So, a move to Palace for Winks would be a superb move – for all parties. Doucoure is more advanced in the midfield than Winks and the duo could actually combine. It could be Palace’s new midfield.
