Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew wants a reunion with the France international.
Crystal Palace have entered the race to sign Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, according to the Sunday Mirror.
Schneiderlin has struggled for opportunities under new United boss Jose Mourinho – he has made just one substitute appearance in the Premier League this term – and it appears that the Portuguese will not stand in the 26-year-old’s way if he wishes to move in January.

The Mirror reports that United could be willing to accept as little as half the £25m that they paid to sign him from Southampton in 2015, even though he has nearly three years of a four-year deal still to run at Old Trafford.
His lack of game-time appears to have alerted Eagles boss Alan Pardew. The Palace manager worked with the France international when the pair were both at St Mary’s during the Saints’ time in League One, and the Mirror is now suggesting that a reunion could be on the cards.

With Crystal Palace struggling in the Premier League currently – they have now lost four in a row, and have fallen to 15th in the table – it surely makes sense to consider a move for Schneiderlin.
Having conceded 11 during those last four games, it is perhaps fair to say that the defence needs more support. And having a player of international quality sitting in front of the back four will surely help them keep opposition at bay.
