Crystal Palace are in talks with Leicester City over the signing of Demarai Gray in the January transfer window, according to The Athletic.
The winger is out of contract at Leicester at the end of the season and is not willing to sign a new deal, and Palace are reported to have opened talks with their Premier League rivals over the transfer of the 24-year-old.
Southampton, Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion and Everton are also interested in the former Birmingham City winger, while Bayer Leverkusen have made a bid of €2 million (£1.78 million) for the former England Under-21 international, according to the report.
Finding a new club
Gray has not been able to make a huge impact at Leicester since he moved from Birmingham, but he is still only 24 years of age and has a lot of potential. If the Englishman is able to get a run of games, then he could turn on the style.
Described by Leicester left-back Christian Fuchs as a winger who “can dribble past four or five players no problem” and who “can fall on the floor and still keep going. It is unbelievable” in Goal.com in April 2020, Gray could do with a change of clubs now in order to benefit in the coming years.
