Crystal Palace reportedly want Nathaniel Clyne to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace are continuing talks with Liverpool about a deal to sign right back Nathaniel Clyne.

Palace lost star right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United earlier this summer, raking in £50million for their youth academy product.

The Eagles must now bring in another right back to replace Wan-Bissaka, and in a strange turn of events, Liverpool could land themselves a chunk of the cash rivals United paid for Wan-Bissaka.

That’s because Palace want to re-sign Liverpool’s Clyne, and talks are ongoing about him making a potential move back to Selhurst Park.

The 28-year-old has been out of favour under Jurgen Klopp for some time now, and having spent the second half of last season out on loan at Bournemouth, he’s all set to move on permanently.

A move back to Palace would be an emotional one for Clyne, as that’s where it all started for him. Much like Wan-Bissaka himself, Clyne came up through the Palace ranks, having been born in South London.

Clyne made almost 150 appearances for Palace before heading on to Southampton in 2012, and with 14 England caps too, he has been another success story of the Palace academy.

Re-signing for Palace seems to make sense for everyone involved, but just how much of that Wan-Bissaka money Palace will have to spend to get Clyne remains to be seen, with Liverpool often driving a hard bargain even for their misfits.
