The Sevilla midfielder could be signing number two for Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce.
Crystal Palace are close to agreeing a £12 million fee for Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra, according to the Sun.
Iborra, who started the Andalusians’ dramatic win against Real Madrid on Sunday, is said to have held talks with the Eagles ahead of a ‘lucrative move’ to Selhurst Park.
The six-foot-three Spaniard is reportedly keen to test himself in English football, having previously been a target for West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland, whom Palace boss Sam Allardyce left in the summer.

Fellow Premier League sides Watford and Everton were linked with Iborra (WD Sport) at the start of the month, however Palace look to have won the race for his signature.
The Eagles have suffered from a lack of physicality in the middle of the park following Mile Jedinak’s summer transfer to Aston Villa and the 29-year-old’s capture would help to address that.

At the time of Sunderland’s alleged interest, Spanish football expert Guillem Balague described Iborra as ‘a better Marouane Fellaini’.
The former Levante player has won three successive Europa League crowns with Sevilla.
