Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on Leicester City winger who hasn’t played a Premier League game since November.

Crystal Palace have had a bid thought to be in the region of £9 million rejected for out-of-favour Leicester City man Jeffrey Schlupp, according to Sky Sports.

The 24-year-old utility man can play at either full-back or as a winger, and has been heavily linked with an exit from the King Power Stadium since the summer.

West Bromwich Albion were thought to be the main contenders to sign the 13-capped Ghana international (Birmingham Mail), but the Eagles have now seemingly joined the Baggies in the race.

And Sky Sports News report that new Palace boss Sam Allardyce is a keen admirer of Schlupp, and that he wants to take advantage of the fact that he has hardly been played by Claudio Ranieri this season.

The Eagles are currently in all sorts of trouble, and sit in 17th position in the Premier League table, just one point clear of the relegation zone.

And they most certainly need some quality additions this month, if they are to avoid relegation to the Championship.

Whether Schlupp will be one of those, however, remains to be seen.
