According to a report from the Mirror, Crystal Palace are eyeing Burnley boss Sean Dyche as their next manager.
The Eagles are preparing for life after Roy Hodgson despite the former England boss signing a new contract not too long ago.
Hodgson has done a remarkable job at Selhurst Park since taking over the club back in September 2017 but he isn’t getting any younger.
The Englishman, who is the oldest manager in the Premier League, will turn 73 soon and Palace are right to plan ahead.
Dyche has been incredible for Burnley over the last eight years. He has transformed the Clarets into a strong force in the league and it is no secret that he is a wanted man.
The report reveals that Dyche has previously attracted interest from the likes of Everton, Aston Villa and West Ham but the Burnley boss has remained loyal to Turf Moor.

It will be interesting to see if Dyche views the Palace job as an upgrade to what he has at Burnley at the moment.

The Clarets finished seventh a couple of seasons ago and they have a good chance of making it into the top 10 this season if and when the Premier League restarts.
Palace on the other hand have consistently been mid-table. The Eagles finished 12th last season and 11th the year before and they have arguably been unambitious in the transfer window.
Wilfried Zaha has wanted out for quite some time, while the money Palace received from the sale of Aaron Wan-Bissaka has barely been touched.
Dyche might just be better off staying at Burnley considering how well he knows the club. It is almost guaranteed that he will move on to bigger things sooner or later. But a move to Selhurst Park might just not be the best move for him this summer.
