According to Dorset Live, Crystal Palace are interested in signing Bournemouth winger Arnaut Danjuma.

What’s the story?

Well, the Eagles are believed to be eyeing the Dutchman as Patrick Vieira looks to add more reinforcements to his attack.

Bournemouth have already received a £13m bid from Villarreal for Danjuma’s services, but it doesn’t seem to have met their valuation.

Scott Parker has already revealed that he’s open to the 24-year-old’s exit, as long as the Cherries are satisfied with the sum on offer

Crystal Palace’s Sporting Director Dougie Freedman was said to be in attendance at the Vitality Stadium as Bournemouth beat MK Dons 5-0 on Saturday.

Danjuma was sidelined with a muscle injury, but the Scot may have been on the south coast to discuss a deal with Bournemouth, rather than watch the forward.

Where would Arnaut Danjuma fit in?

Currently, Patrick Vieira already has Wilfried Zaha, Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze, Christian Benteke, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Jordan Ayew to choose from.

In that respect, you might wonder where Danjuma would fit in.

Well, if you were wondering that, Dorset Live share an interesting detail.

They claim that sources have told them Crystal Palace hope to have the Dutchman dovetailing alongside Zaha and Olise in attack.

Vieira would presumably like him to also dovetail with Eze, but the £19.5m man may not return from his Achilles injury until 2022.

Whatever Crystal Palace’s plans for Danjuma are, there’s no denying that he’s a wonderful talent.

The Nigerian-both Netherlands international scored 17 goals in 37 games for the Cherries last season, while also providing eight assists.

You can see why Bournemouth spent £13.7m on him.

If Crystal Palace get this one over the line, it would be a fantastic signing.
