According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace will welcome Botafogo to Selhurst Park on Saturday ahead of a partnership between the two clubs.

What’s the story?

Well, John Textor – who became a co-owner of Crystal Palace in 2021 – recently took over Botafogo.

Now, both Crystal Palace and the Brazilian giants could unite forces from this point onwards, with plans already made between the two sides.

The Daily Mail believe the south Londoners will welcome the South Americans to SE25, where they will be shown around the new £20m academy.

A delegation from Botafogo will also examine the work of Patrick Vieira in the first-team setup on their visit to south London.

As aforesaid, representatives of Botafogo will also be at Selhurst Park on Saturday when Chelsea travel down from west London.

Interestingly, the Daily Mail believe this partnership could see some of Botafogo’s best talent sign for Crystal Palace in future.

Botafogo partnership could be massive for Crystal Palace

The Brazilian giants boast legends such as Garrincha, Jairzinho and Bebeto as former players, and they have plenty of gems who could end up shining for Crystal Palace.

One prodigy who could potentially end up at Crystal Palace is Matheus Nascimento, who plays as a centre-forward.

The 17-year-old wonderkid is said to be a target for Real Madrid, and he’s also earned comparisons to Edinson Cavani in Brazil (Goal).

If this is the type of player the Daily Mail believe Crystal Palace could sign, then it look set to be a hugely exciting collaboration for the Eagles.
