According to 90min, Newcastle target Callum Hudson-Odoi could now leave Chelsea for Crystal Palace.

What’s the story?

Well, the £120,000-a-week winger could join the south Londoners in a deal involving Wilfried Zaha.

90min believe Chelsea are interested in the Ivory Coast international after allowing Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Blues are looking for a centre-forward to add to Raheem Sterling, but also someone who can operate out wide, so Zaha would be the ideal attacker in that respect.

90min add that people close to the Crystal Palace No.11 believe he wants to experience Champions League football, something he never got to do during his time at Manchester United.

Zaha has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Selhurst Park.

90min also believe that Hudson-Odoi could be involved in a player-plus-cash deal with Crystal Palace, as Patrick Vieira is said to be interested in the England international.

Eddie Howe is also believed to be keen on bringing the 21-year-old to Newcastle.

Chelsea’s interest in Zaha comes after he enjoyed his best goalscoring campaign ever last season, netting 15 goals in all competitions.

Forget Newcastle, Callum Hudson-Odoi should leave Chelsea for Crystal Palace

In our view, Selhurst Park is the ideal destination for Hudson-Odoi to resurrect his career.

Vieira has created an exciting side in SE25, where the exciting winger would have many fellow south Londoners to bond with, while he would also be returning back to his roots – the Chelsea forward was born in Wandsworth.

Additionally, Vieira has already proven that he can get the best out of young talents such as Michael Olise, Marc Guéhi, Tyrick Mitchell and Eberechi Eze.

22-year-old Wolves gem Morgan Gibbs-White supposedly believes he would make the England squad if he joined Crystal Palace, which says a lot about how youngsters view the Eagles right now.

After stagnating at Chelsea, a move back home to south London would be the best choice for Hudson-Odoi to show people just how talented he really is.
