Scott Dann is a target for some of Crystal Palace’s Premier League rivals with his contract due to expire at the end of the 2020/21 season, according to the Sun (1 November, page 59).
With a grand total of 13 Eagles players due to become free-agents on July 1 as it stands, one of the oldest and most experienced squads in the division could soon be breaking apart.
And, after six years at Selhurst Park, Dann’s departure would be a difficult one for Palace fans to swallow.
The long-serving centre-back may be 33 these days but he remains a reliable Premier League defender.
Dann has started three games so far this season, captaining Roy Hodgson’s side to a 1-0 victory over a Southampton side who are scoring goals for fun at present not so long ago.
The Sun reports that the former Birmingham and Blackburn stopper is a target for other, as-yet unnamed Premier League sides and Crystal Palace will be offered the chance to cash in during the January window before losing Dann for free a few months later.

Burnley were reported to be interested via the Sun (27 September, page 61) and it would be little surprise if they were still in the race.
Sean Dyche loves proven, reliable, top-level performers and the £60,000-a-week Dann, who would provide some much-needed depth at the heart of the Clarets’ backline, certainly ticks a lot of boxes for the Burnley boss.
