Crystal Palace are expected to sign Slovenian centre-back Gregor Balazic for free once the January transfer window opens.
Crystal Palace will look to strengthen their defence in the January transfer window and they could pick up a gift by luring Gregor Balazic for nothing.
The Eagles have been watching Balazic for some time and are reportedly attracted by his versatility because he can either play as centre-back or fullback.
The 26-year-old is currently plying his trade for Ukrainian side Karpaty Lviv, but he will be free to move on at the start of January when his contract expires.
At 6ft 3in, Balazic is an imposing presence and he would be well equipped to deal with the physicality of Premier League football
He has been at Karpaty Lviv since 2011 and has made 67 outings for the club since arriving from Slovenian club ND Gorica.
It is reported that as Balazic arrives, 33-year-old striker Andy Johnson will head for the exit having failed to make an appearance in his second spell at Selhurst Park.
